Treescapes Treeplanting Grant

In 2023, Whitchurch Conservation Group (WCG) secured a government Treescapes grant to fund the cost of planting trees in Whitchurch green spaces.To deliver this project, WCG collaborated with partners including Hampshire County Council, Whitchurch Town Council and the Whitchurch Millennium Green Trust.

• Whitchurch Recreation Ground: 49 trees consisting flowering cherry (prunus avium ‘plena’); yew, hawthorn and beech
  
• Kingsley Park 15 trees consisting hawthorn, hazel, crab apple and oak
• Whitchurch Millennium Meadow 3 trees consisting bird cherry (prunus padus)
